Dr. Tom Tanner has spent his career invested at Lincoln Christian College and Seminary, and has served in several roles over the years. In his current position as Vice President of Academics, he works closely with deans of the college and seminary and handles accreditation and strategic planning issues. On this episode of Inside LCCS, listen as Tom discusses:
- Growing up with a large family on a farm near Medaryville, IN
- How plans to study engineering at Purdue turned instead to an interest in full-time ministry preparation at Lincoln
- Graduate studies at Lincoln and the University of Illinois which led to a position at the college library
- A wonderful preaching ministry at the Number 10 Church of Christ near Danville, IL during his years in graduate school
- A “love/hate” relationship with preaching and the influence of John Webb on his approach to sermon preparation
