Brian Johnson joined the college faculty in 2000 as Associate Professor of New Testament. In this episode of Inside LCCS, Brian discusses:
- The foundation for Christian service and scholarship laid by his family and church in southern Indiana
- His college studies ignited a passion for the New Testament and the writings of John
- The courses he teaches in the college
- Recent conference papers and publishing on the Jewish background of the Gospel of John
- An upcoming conference paper highlighting a new perspective on the crurifragium (the practice of breaking criminals legs on the cross) to be delivered at the Evangelical Theological Society meeting in November
- Work on “Digging Deeper: Giving Roots to Your Faith,” a new video teaching series for churches and Sunday school classes (due out in November — see Romans819.com)
- Plans to bring a group of students to an archaeological dig in the Middle East in the summer of 2009
